Memorytakesplaceatsynapses,wherethereareconnectionsthroughwhichbraincellscommunicate.Thesesynapseslieondendriticspines(神经元).Inratandmousestudies,Baram’sgroupsawthattherelease(释放)ofCRHinthebrain’sprimarymemorycenterledtotherapidbreakupofthesedendriticspines,whichinturnlimitedtheabilityofsynapsestocollectandstorememories.
