Theycomeandgo,theireyesmeetyourswithacoldstare,foramomenttheirfeaturesarewrittenonyourmind,andthentheyaregoneforever.Youwillneverseethemagain;theywillneverseeyouagain;theycomeupoutoftheunknown,andpresentlytheyoncemorevanishintotheunknown,takingtheirsecretswiththem.Yes,thatislonelinesspureandundefiled;buttoonewhoknowsandlovesit,thewildernessisnotlonely,becausethespiritofnatureisevertheretokeepthewanderercompany.Hefindscompanionsinthewinds--thesunnystreamsbabblelikeNature'schildrenathisfeet;highabovethem,inthepurplesunset,aredomesandminaretsandpalaces,suchasnomortalmanhasbuilt,inandoutofwhoseflamingdoorstheangelsofthesunseemtomovecontinually.
