教材分析 :
本单元以The neighborhood为话题,主要学习词汇:
post office、police station、hotel、restaurant、bank、hospital、 street、pay phone、town、neighborhood(places); across from、in front of、behind、north、on the right\left、crossing、around等,通过教学使学生能在街上用英语问路并为他人指路,并且了解在日常交际中如何得体地运用英语语言向别人问路。
通过运用简单的问路和指路的交际用语,帮助同学树立自信心,学会相互合作,敢于用英语进行交际,同时也培养学生乐于助人的品质。
一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标:
1) 能掌握以下单词:
post, office, post office, police, police station, hotel, restaurant, bank, hospital, street, pay, near,
across, across from, front, in front of, behind, town, around 能掌握以下句型:

— Where 引导的特殊疑问句及其答语。

① 通过运用简单的问路和引路的交际用语,学会相互合作,培养乐于助人的精神。
② 通过运用问路和引路的交际用语,帮助各个层次的同学树立自信心,敢于用英语进行交际.

1. 教学重点:
①Where 引导的特殊疑问句。
②there be 句型的肯定式、一般疑问句及其回答方式。
③方位介词的用法。
2.教学重点和难点:
重点:
学习问路与指路的常用语, 学会询问街道上某一场所的位置,阐述如何到达某一场所。
1与社区环境和设施相关的词汇及Where 引导的特殊疑问句。
2there be 句型的肯定式、一般疑问句及其回答方式。
③方位介词的用法。
难点:
在于让学生运用正确的方位介词来描述各种社区设施的地理位置,并且将指路信息串联起来,形成完整的描述以口头或笔头方式表达出来。
