Beforebed,GrannyandIleftaplate⑬ofsugarbiscuitsoutforFatherChristmas,andputastockingattheendofmybed.3IrememberGrannysittingonmybedandsingingsoftlyuntilIfellasleep.

圣诞节的回忆
我仍记得奶奶和我们一起度过的最后一个圣诞节。
十一月中旬,寒冷多风的日子就来了。
我记得那天的风,因为奶奶到达时她的灰头发乱作一团。
那天也是奶奶搬进来的日子。
然而,那个时候我并未发现她病了。
