理解并掌握状语从句的用法

状语从句

状语从句概念

用来修饰主句中的动词，副词或形容词的从句叫状语从句。

根据其含义状语从句又可以具体分为时间状语从句、原因状语从句等。

本单元主要讲解when引导的时间状语从句、because引导的原因状语从句和although引导的让步状语从句。

状语从句分类

1.when引导的时间状语从句

when意为〞在…时；当…时〞，可表示〞时间点〞或〞时间段〞，从句的谓语动词可以是延续性的动词，也可以是瞬时动词。

用when时，从句的动作可与主句的动作同时发生，也可先于主句的动作发生。

另外，在时间状语从句中里（包括until,before,assoonas引导的），通常不用将来时态，而用现在时态表示将来的动作或状态，也就是常说的〞主将从现〞。

例如：

Iwilltellhimeverythingwhenhecomesback.当他回来以后，我会把一切都告诉他。

2.because引导的原因状语从句

because引导的从句一般不放句子的开头。

对于以why开头的问句，一般只能用because引导的句子来回答。

在所有能引导原因状语从句的连词中，because语气最强，原因最直接。

例如：

ImissedthetrainbecauseIgotuplate.我错过了火车，因为我起床晚了。

3.although引导的让步状语从句

although与though两者意思相同，常用来引导让步状语从句，一般可互换，都可与yet或still连用。

例如：

Although/Thoughwearepoor,wearestillhappy.我们虽然穷，但仍然很快活。

注意：

汉语中很多连词都是成对出现的，比如：

因为…所以…；尽管…但是…。

但是在英语中because和so，although/though和but不能同时出现在一个句子中。

例如：

Becauseitwasraining,westayedathome.=Itwasraining,sowestayedathome.

Althoughitisdangerous,Iwilltry.=Itisdangerous,butIwilltry.
