BulkPowerforModels590and595
每个系统即(595/590)有两个BPA(大容量电力集成模块),一个在前面,一个在背面。
它们是互相冗余的。
分别有两条电源线路接入,
前机的组件部分使用的是奇数号Px,背面的使用的是隅数号Px。
Eachsystemwillhave2BulkPowerAssemblies(BPA)afrontandarear.
FrontcomponentswillhaveoddnumbersfortheirPx.RearcomponentswillhaveevennumbersfortheirPx.
ThebulkpowercomponentshaveaUnittypeof9458.100
BPD(大容量电力分布器)是BPA最上面的部件,可以有1到3个,第一个是Px-C3,
正面和背面的BPA通过有相同数量的BPD。
每个BPD有10个连接口,

BulkPowerDistributors(BPD)arethetopmostcomponentsintheBPA.Thesystemcanhavefrom1to3components.ThefirsttobeinstalledwillbePx-C3,fillingupward.ThefrontandrearBPA'swillhavethesamenumberofBPD's
EachBPDwillhave10connectionpointsasshown.Thecomponentsthatplugintothese10connectorswillchangedependingonwhichBPDyouareusing.
BPC(大容量电力控制器)是BPA的核心通信部件,每个BPA只有一个控制器。
T1至T4是RJ45型的HUB
T5和T6是Dshell连接
T7只用于BPF(bulkpowerfan)
T8用于MDA1
T9用于MDA2
T10用于MDA3
T11用于MDA4
T12用于DCA00
T30用于DCA01
BulkPowerController
TheBulkPowerController(BPC)isthecentralcommunicationscomponentoftheBPA.EachBPAwillhavejust1controller.

ABulkPowerRegulator(BPR)willcomewitheachBPA.TheBPAcanhaveupto3BPRs.Px-E1willbethefirstBPRinstalled,fillingdownward.
EachBPRhasoneconnectionpointinthemiddleforapossibleconnectiontoanInternalBatteryFeature(IBF).SystemsdonotneedtohaveIBFs.

cardJ0ineachdrawer.
Thiscableensuresthateachsideofthedrawer(P1andP2)canbeaccessed
bytheCECI/O(RIO-2adapter)card,evenifoneofthecablesaredamaged.
EachhalfoftheI/OdrawercancommunicatewiththeCECI/Ocardforits
ownusesoronbehalfoftheothersideofthedrawer.
Thereisanidentifier(ID)inthecableplugswhichgivesthelengthofthecableto
theInter-IntegratedCircuit(I2C)busandtheserviceprocessor.
ThecableIDisthefunctionthatverifiesthelengthoftheRIO-2cable.Thereare
differentRIO-2cables,becauseweuseCECframe,powered24inchAframe,
andunpowered24inchZframefortheI/Odrawer.WiththecableIDwecalculate
thelengthandthelinkspeedfortheRIO-2cable.
Half-drawercabling
AlthoughI/Odrawerswillnotbebuiltinhalf-drawerconfigurations,theycanbe
cabledto,andaddressedbytheCEC,inhalfdrawerincrements(Figure2-12).
BothSTIconnectorsononeCECI/OcardPx-Cx-T1andPx-Cx-T2willbecabled
tobothportsonP1RIO-2Risercard.
BothSTIconnectorsonadifferentCECI/OcardPx-Cx-T1andPx-Cx-T2
(possiblyonadifferentprocessorbook)willbecabledtobothportsonP2RIO-2
Risercard.
However,tosimplifythemanagementoftheserverwestronglyrecommendthat
I/OloopsbeconfiguredasdescribedintheIBMSserverInformationCenter,
andtoonlyfollowadifferentorderwhenabsolutelynecessary.
Inanycase,itbecomesextremelyimportantforthemanagementofthesystem
tokeepanup-to-datecablingdocumentationofyoursystems,becauseitmaybe
differentfromthecablingdiagramsoftheinstallationguides.
TheI/OdrawersprovideinternalstorageandI/Oconnectivitytothesystem.
