由于现代社会经济和贸易变得越来越繁荣,英语在如今的世界中也越来越受到广泛的关注和应用你将会吸收更多的知识并且你将会看到一个很吸引人的世界,去进步,去发展,英语的学习也越来越受到学校和教育部门的重视。写作能有效检测和提高一个人的语言水平,而英语写作一直是我国学生的短板,国内考生在各大英测试里,英语作文部分往往发挥得不尽人意,习语是一种语言的浓缩,习语往往蕴含着深刻的哲理,是前人在实际生活中总结创造出来的,可以给后人启发与警醒。
习语也很好地反应当地文化习俗,因此把英语习语应用于英语写作是提高英语写作的一个很好地途径。文章首先阐明了习语的定义和其来源,接着介绍了英语习语的特点和功能,其次阐明了英语习语对英语写作的帮助,最后通过以上分析和探究英语习语在英语写作中的应用现状总结提出提高有关英语习语在英语写作中的具体实施方法。

EnglishwritingisoneoftheskillsrequiredbythesyllabusofcollegeEnglish,isakeyresearchprojectinthefirstcollegeentranceexamination,isacompulsorytestcontentofcollegeEnglishlevelCET4andCET6,accountingfor15%ofthetotalscore.TheEnglishwritingabilityofChinesecollegestudentsisgenerallyweak,forexample,inthefourlevelexaminationinJune1991,theaverageEnglishofthenationalkeyinstitutionsisdividedinto62.9points,and15%ofthemThewritingisonly5.8pointsonaverage,thesituationofnon-keyinstitutionsisevenlessideal(HuMihua,1994:
